When writing an application, you usually don't want your application to connect to other applications using your individual user credentials. This causes a problem when users change jobs or assignments and user permissions are changed. Instead, a non-person system account should be created. To create this account, go to https://developer.byu.edu/credential/identity. It is suggested to name your system account with the identical name as the application in WSO2 with a prefix on the name to indicate your organization. For example, "OIT - InfoHub".
Once the system account is created, a manual process is required to hook up your new system account with your application in WSO2. To do this, make a request to the identity team. Email email@example.com and provide him with the "Consumer Key" of your application in WSO2 (not the "Consumer Secret") and the name and ID of your system user account.
